Cloud Expo 2025 once again brought together the very best of the Dutch tech ecosystem. For two days, the Expo in Houten buzzed with conversations about innovation, security, cloud strategy and—perhaps most importantly—the people driving digital progress forward.
For IBANXS, these were two inspiring days filled with meaningful discussions, new connections and clear confirmation that many organisations face the same challenges we work on every day: staying compliant in a rapidly shifting landscape, maintaining agility and flexibility, and keeping full control over their data.
In this recap, we share our key takeaways and insights, including highlights from our joint breakout session with our trusted partners Proserve and Access42.
The Common Theme: Trust, Security and Control
Across the Cloud Expo, one trend stood out clearly: the pace of change in the market is accelerating. Organisations are looking for ways to stay compliant with new legislation, strengthen their security posture and respond to increasing customer expectations.
The question we heard most often was this:
How can we stay compliant AND agile without becoming dependent on non-European cloud providers?
For us, the answer lies in the combination of high-performance infrastructure and full data sovereignty — a direction IBANXS has intentionally chosen over the past year.

Why we moved away from AWS
During our breakout sessions we openly shared why we migrated to the sovereign cloud environment of Proserve away from US BigTech.

With Access42 supporting us throughout the process, we strengthened our entire security architecture and ensured it is future-proof.
It was encouraging to see how many organisations at the Cloud Expo recognised the same challenges — compliance, dependency risks, the need for control — and resonated with the decisions we made.
Breakout Session Highlights
Our session was filled with open dialogue, practical questions and shared insights. Some recurring questions included:

- What does sovereignty mean for performance and cost?
- How do you remain compliant with PSD2/PSR and beyond?
We discussed our phased migration approach, the importance of security-by-design and how sovereignty aligns with long-term strategic resilience.
The Human Side of the Expo
Beyond the deep-dive conversations, the lighter moments also made the event memorable.
Both Proserve and Access42 were fantastic hosts — from the relaxed chess vibe at the Proserve stand to the signature beanie energy at Access42. Two inviting booths brought to life by teams who made everyone feel welcome the moment they walked up — real professionals, with the expertise to match the atmosphere.
And yes, the legendary meatball sandwiches during the networking drinks definitely deserve an honorable mention 😉
